LOCAL EXPERTISE

Why Carolina Beach is different

Carolina Beach Yacht Basin has its own wave-state on a windy day. We add wind bracing to every pier we build there and oversize the pilings under boat lifts.

Mark and Tommy were great to work with and did an excellent job on our dock renovation. They added pilings and a boatlift as well as relocated a couple of jet ski lifts. We also had to run a new electrical line from the house and fix a few other things — and everything was handled professionally.

Mark and his crew did a fantastic job on a complex project involving multiple piers and gazebos. Great craftsmanship. Stayed on the job till it was completed. Highly recommend them for your pier, dock, or bulkhead projects.

Worked with Mark on a set of docks off of Wrightsville intracoastal. They are very great to work with and do awesome work that looks great and lasts long! Highly recommend using them for any dock or coast side needs!

FROM THE FOUNDER

In Carolina Beach, the water teaches you fast. Build for the worst tide and the longest storm — the calm days take care of themselves.

FAQ

Questions about Carolina Beach dock builds

Do you work in the Yacht Basin?

Yes — we have built and repaired docks throughout the Yacht Basin. Wave-state there is sharper than the open ICW so we frame heavier.

Wind bracing on a residential pier — necessary?

On Carolina Beach, yes. The fetch from the Cape Fear and the basin runs hard in a southwest wind, and unbraced piers walk over time.

Can you do a lift on a small lot?

Yes. We have done 4-post cradle lifts on Carolina Beach lots with 25 feet of frontage. The trick is the cradle width and the pile spacing.
